Antique Tekke Turkmen rug, wool on wool, red field design of three (3) rows of eight (8) guls. Woven in red, blue, and cream colors. 5ft 5in x 3ft 11in. Late 19th/Early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.
CONDITION: Uneven pile wear, heavier wear radiating from center to one end, wear to both margins. Losses to the fringe on each end, and small tears noted to each border approximately 1 inch.
