Bronze figural sculpture, "Consolation," depicting an older female embracing a younger girl holding a flower basket. Signed on base "Moreau", possibly Hippolyte Francois Moreau (French, 1832 – 1927). 15 1/8" H. Late 19th century. Provenance: Private Knoxville, TN collection. CONDITION: Older patina with traces of with some remnants of a gilded patina in crevices, the back of the older female's head has traces of modern white paint indicating contact with a painted surface.
