Nine (9) sterling silver napkin rings plus one (1) silverplated napkin ring, including one (1) William B. Durgin with chased foliate design, stamped with maker's mark, Sterling Silver; one (1) Rand & Crane, stamped with maker's mark, Sterling; two (2) with chased foliate design, stamped Sterling; one (1) with bead course rims, stamped Sterling; two (2) with repousse foliate design, unmarked but XRF tested as sterling; two (2) with chased foliate design, unmarked but XRF tested as sterling; and one (1) silverplated with engine turned and bead course design, unmarked. All items monogrammed or inscribed. Items ranging in size from 1" H x 1 5/8" dia. to 1 7/8" H x 1 7/8" dia. Combined weight: 7.76 total weighable troy ounces. Mid to late 19th century.
PROVENANCE: Estate of Judge John Nixon, Nashville, Tennessee.
