French Second Empire chest of drawers with gilt bronze mounts. Rectangular black marble top; overhanging top drawer with a hidden lip pull and gilt bronze medallion at center, over three drawers having gilt bronze rose escutcheons and wreath pulls. Tops of stiles with gilt bronze flower basket plaques over turned columns with gilt bronze capitals. Rounded bun feet, dovetailed drawers, full length dustboards. All drawers dovetailed. Secondary wood appears to be a European oak or chestnut. 36"H x 22"D x 50 3/4"W. Mid to late 19th century. Provenance: Estate of Bill Zarnon, Gatlinburg, Tenn. Condition: Overall very good condition.
