Pair of Chinese Republic period porcelain jardinieres and underplates, hexagonal form with flaring tims, blue overglaze decoration and edge gilding to rims of both jardinieres and underplates; the sides of jardinieres painted with scenes of immortals in lush landscapes, birds and flowering branches. Unmarked. 8" H x 9 1/4" dia. Chinese, early 20th century. Provenance: found in a Nashville, Tennessee estate. CONDITION: Wear to gilt edging and blue overglaze rim decoration; one has a 1" firing crack to interior. Small hairline to one underplate.
