Set of five (5) Chinese Export Famille Rose porcelain plates for the Indian market, the centers depicting a mahout riding his elephant to the center, flanked by floral sprigs with garland and flower decoration to the rims. 9" dia. 2nd half 18th century.
PROVENANCE: Estate of Judge John Nixon, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: All in overall very good condition with light wear. Black modern marker inscription verso of each plate.
