Large Greene County, Tennessee cobalt decorated stoneware jug with and pulled handle, and the words "Mohawk" diagonal across the front in cobalt script, flanked by two cobalt sprig designs and another central design. 18 12" H x 10" W. Provenance – Gass family, Weems Chapel Road, Mosheim, TN. 19th century. Condition: Tight hairline from base to midsection, old break out to front of rim, part of remaining rim glued.
