Renato Guttuso (Italy, 1911-1987) artist proof aquatint etching in color on wove paper, titled "Madchen Akte", depicting a female nude in two positions, seated and kneeling, on the floor in sienna and black tones. Signed and with additional inscription reading "Bon a Tirer" (Good to Print), in pencil, outside the plate at top center. Float mounted under glass in a contemporary wooden frame. Plate: 15 1/4" H x 21 1/8" W. Sight: 19 1/4" H x 26 1/4" W. Framed: 24 3/4" H x 32 1/8" W.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with slight discoloration of paper. Scattered foxing spots and two minute punctures to paper outside of plate; does not affect image. Not examined outside of frame. Frame with minor surface grime and some errant marks.
