Two (2) Limoges France hand-painted miniature porcelain boxes, including one (1) rifle case with hinged handles, boar latch, and landscape scene with mallards to inner lid containing two rifles (one unattached) and one pouch, marked "Eximious" to lid (5/8" H x 3 7/8" W x 1 7/8" D); and one (1) box with landscape scene with golfer, signed "CJ" lower right, having umbrella latch and containing a golf ball, iron, and pair of shoes, additionally signed to underside (3/4" H x 2 7/8" W x 1 3/4" D). Both with maker's mark and "Eximious" to underside. Both 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Tinka Brown, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Rifle case with tiny hairline to underside measuring 1/4" L, possibly a firing flaw. Golf box in very good condition.
