Federal Southern yellow pine hunt board, possibly Georgia. Scratch-beaded single board top features gauge-carved scalloping on the sides, which is repeated on the sides of the two large scratch-beaded drawers. Nailed drawer construction. Supported on four long tapering legs accented with vertical scratch-beaded decoration. Traces of original blue paint can be seen in various spots. 44 7/8" H x 53" W x 21 1/8" D. Mid 19th century. Provenance: private Huntsville, Alabama collection, ex-Jim Pyburn Antiques; found in DeKalb County, Georgia. Condition: Overall very good condition. Replaced brasses and lacking original paint.
