1st & 2nd items: Pair of Grand Tour bronzes depicting Mercury and Fortuna, after Giambologna (Italian, 1529-1608), each issuing from the open mouth of a cherub and mounted on red marble plinths and square slate bases. 19 1/2 in. H and 19 in. H x approx. 4 in. W. 3rd & 4th items: Pair of Grand Tour campagna form patinated bronze urns with figural decoration to the bodies. Raised on a square slate plinth with gilt decoration and square bases with patinated bronze paw feet. 13 3/4 in. H x 6 1/4 in. W. All items Late 19th/Early 20th century.
PROVENANCE:
The estate (Irrevocable Trust) of Waltraut H. Mizell, Nashville, TN.
CONDITION:
1st & 2nd item: Both figures with losses to objects once held in hands and chipping to the slate bases. Mercury lacking wings on feet. Scattered oxidation, wear and rubbing to bronzes. 3rd & 4th items: Bronze urns are in overall good condition. Minor fleabites to the base of one urn.
