Three (3) small George IV sterling silver mounted and inlaid tortoiseshell boxes including two (2) ovoid form boxes with Birmingham hallmarks having incised sterling foliate and swag inlay to hinged lids, one having a foliate rim, opening to reveal fabric-lined interiors, both with sterling leatherette lined bases and four foliate feet, one with H. Matthews makers marks to underside and one possibly marked W. Neale & Son Ltd. to side, and one (1) cylindrical form box having incised sterling foliate and swag inlay to hinged lid, tortoise shell body, and a sterling mounted base with maker's mark for Levi & Salaman, Birmingham stamped to the interior. Ranging in size from 1 1/8" H x 4 1/2" W, to 2 1/4" H x 2 1/2" Dia. English, circa 1820-1825.
PROVENANCE: Private Nashville, Tennessee collection.
CONDITION: One ovoid form box with cracks to lid in upper left and lower left corners, other ovoid form box with dent to base, otherwise in overall very good condition.
