Pam Price (American, 20th Century) abstract oil and paintstick on paper painting titled "Cosmic Injection" depicting a multi-colored wolf-like animal, likely a Coyote in reference to Native American mythology, and two lightning bolts against a black background. Signed with copyright and dated "P Price (copyright) 1986" lower right. The Arkansas Arts Center, Little Rock, AR exhibition label with artist's information and notation that this painting received the purchase award from the foundation during the 30th Annual Delta Art Exhibition in 1987, en verso. Float mounted and housed under plexiglass in a wooden frame. Sheet: 41 3/4" H x 29 3/4" W. Sight: 43 1/2" H x 33 1/2" W. Framed: 45 3/4" H x 35 1/2" W. Note: Pam Price was the Mr. & Mrs. Louis Rochester Professor of Fine Art at the University of Texas, Permian Basin from 1974-2009.
PROVENANCE: Deaccessioned by the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts Foundation to benefit the acquisitions fund.
