Two (2) American School 20th century oil on canvas landscape paintings. 1st item: Walter Moses Farrington (Illinois/California, 1874-1947) landscape painting titled "Ever Shifting Sands Point Betsie Frankfort Mich," depicting rolling sand dunes with patches of greenery. Signed "Walter Farrington" lower left. Titled en verso. Housed in a molded giltwood frame with a bead and reel molding at sight edge. Sight: 11 1/2" H x 15 1/4" W. Framed: 14 1/2" H x 18 1/2" W. 2nd item: Impressionistic Southwestern landscape painting depicting a path leading through patches of bluebonnets and birch trees under a cloudy blue sky. Unsigned. Housed in a molded giltwood frame with notched corner moldings. Sight: 10 1/4" H x 12 1/4 W. Framed: 14" H x 16 1/2" W.
CONDITION: 1st item: Overall very good condition with slight surface grime and areas of paint rubbing/loss largest 1/2", to upper corners. 2nd item: Overall good condition with slight surface grime and errant nail causing surface abrasion. Frame is slightly splitting at lower left corner.
