Kentucky rocker comprised of mixed woods and cherry back, turned arrow back design with turned arms and stretchers and woven rivercane seat. Overall very good condition with expected wear. 39 1/2" H x 21 1/2" W x 29" D. Provenance:Descended through the McConnell family in Versailles, Kentucky. General James McConnell was a Revolutionary War Soldier. According to oral history this chair was used by his son Robert McConnell and his wife Mary Thompson. Circa1830-1840.
