East Tennessee walnut pie safe of small size, Knox or Blount County. Walnut angular shaped gallery over one nailed drawer, two punched tin doors below with similar punched tin sides, shaped tapered feet. Each punched tin with a pair of elaborately shaped candlestick designs, two interior shelves, yellow pine secondary wood. Drawer has unusual mustache shaped pulls. 48 3/4" H x 43 1/4" W x 20 1/4" D. Third quarter of the 19th century. Provenance: Blount County, TN Living Estate. Condition: Older refinished surface, left case side is slightly separating, old insect damage to backboards on lower case.Interior of drawers and interior of case with early 20th century paint.
