Ten (10) pieces Chinese blue and white porcelain including 2 oblong flat Nanking dishes with varying Willow scenes, 7" x 5"; 2 oblong dishes with scenes of figures in boats, the flaring sides with reserves featuring birds in flight and landscape scenes, character marks en verso (note old restoration), 6" x 7 1/2"; and six Canton "shipwreck" plates varying in size from 6" diameter to 7 3/4" diameter. All late 18th or early 19th century.
PROVENANCE: By descent in the historic Pinckney family of Runnymede plantation, South Carolina.
CONDITION: The two signed oval dishes have crack, chips and old repairs. About half the plates have small rim chips or hairlines, the other half are in very good condition. Nanking dishes in very good condition.
