1st item: Log Cabin Courthouse Steps pattern quilt, consisting primarily of silks and velvets with wool batting, a pink rayon and satin border, and the backing is a floral pink and green print. Quilted by hand and machine. Possibly assembled over a period of time beginning in 1890 and finished in the 1920s. 72 in. x 72 in. 2nd item: Brick pattern quilt, upholstery-grade fabrics in yellow, orange, brown, and green, both solid and printed. Machine pieced. Tacked or knotted by hand with wool yarn. Backing is a green rayon lining, and the binding is a dark green velvet, separately applied by hand. 102 in. x 100 in. Circa 1970s-1980s.

CONDITION:
1st item: Areas of silk with deterioration, some stains, and loose seams, overall good condition. 2nd item: Unwashed, overall very good condition. Some discoloration to the backing.
