East Tennessee transitional stoneware pottery preserving jar with channeled rim for lid and sine wave incising around the upper shoulder with all over gray paint. 10 3/4" H. Attributed to the Mort family pottery of Jefferson County, Tennessee. Third quarter of 19th century. Condition: Some minor abrasions to body, shallow chips to inner rim and base.
