Harry McCormick (New York, New Jersey, b. 1942) oil on canvas titled “The Blind Beggar from McKnez” that depicts a man in a brown cloak and white cap seated on a cobblestone walkway against a lattice frame doorway with his face cast downward and hands clasped together. Signed lower right, “McCormick.” Housed in a gilt and painted wood frame. Sight: 35 1/4 in H x 23 3/8 in W. Framed: 41 3/4 in H x 29 3/4 in W. Circa 1965.
PROVENANCE: Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts Foundation.
CONDITION: The painting is in overall good condition, with some areas of craquelure noted to the upper right quadrant. An approx. 12-inch vertical scratch to the center of the painting. Framed with minor scattered abrasions and losses.
