Lot 1053: 3 Carl Aubock Sculptures, incl. Walking, Standing, and Leaning Figures

Collection of three (3) patinated brass Carl Aubock sculptures. 1st item: “Walking” model #4058, stamped “Aubock / Made in Austria” underside. A note from the consignor states this was purchased in Vienna, April 1960. 2nd item: “Standing” model #4069 (also “Spaziergangmacher, Der Philosoph”) stamped “Aubock” on the top of the triangular base and “Made in Austria” underside. Figure is attached to the base by 2 screws. A note from the consignor states this was purchased in Vienna, April 1960. 3rd item: “Leaning on Treestump” (also “Hercules with Club”) model #4068, stamped “Aubock / Made in Austria / 95” for the year 1995. All figures approximately 4 3/4 in. H x 2 in. W. Note: Supplemental materials include purchase history and related correspondence, available to the winning bidder.

PROVENANCE: Irene Sullivan Estate, Oak Ridge, TN descendant of the Callahan family of Knoxville, TN.

CONDITION: Overall good condition, with traces of green felt and glue on bases. Walking figure has uneven edges around base.
