Two (2) watercolor paintings of interior scenes, both likely British, late 19th/early 20th century. 1st item: Painting depicting a room from the Dalkieth House in Scotland with portrait-lined red walls, blue upholstery and drapes, and a grand piano. Unsigned. Matted under glass in a molded giltwood frame with foliate and bead decorations. Titled "Dalkeith House" lower center of mat. Sight: 15 1/8" H x 11 3/8" W. Framed: 22 5/8" H x 18 1/2" W. 2nd item: Painting depicting the interior of a church or castle with Gothic rib vaulted ceiling, illuminated by sunlight. Vertical pencil inscription to center, "From (illegible)". Additional pencil inscription lower left, possibly a signature or title, illegible. Matted under glass in a fluted wooden frame with bead details and a silvered fillet. Sight: 10 1/4" H x 6 7/8" W. Framed: 18 1/8" H x 14 7/8" W.
PROVENANCE: Private Nashville, Tennessee estate.
CONDITION: Both items in overall good condition. Not examined outside of frames. 2nd item: Areas of loss, largest 1/2", including some minor areas of paint loss to corners.
