Two (2) lithographed portraits of Native Americans after paintings by Charles Bird King, from Thomas L. McKenney and James Hall’s History of the Indian Tribes of North America, published in Philadelphia, 1836-1844, by Frederick W. Greenough. Subjects include Spring Frog: A Cherokee Chief, and Tshi Zun Hau Kau, A Winebago [sic]. Matted and framed under glass in later molded giltwood frames. Sight sizes: 15 in H x 11 in W. Frames 21 1/2 in H x 17 3/4 in W.
PROVENANCE: The collection of Dr. James and Susan O’Neill.
CONDITION: Moderate toning and foxing to prints, not examined out of frame. Some wear to frames.
