Black Forest or Meiji carved hardwood fern stand, the bowl adorned with carved leaves, the pedestal featuring a figural crane capturing a lizard in its beak, standing next to the stalk of a tree, with exotic foliage at its feet, raised on a tripod base with figural carved dolphin feet. 38"H. Circa 1900. Provenance: A Williamson County, Tennessee private collection. Condition: Losses to tips of about a half dozen leaves.
