Signed "Gros" lower right. Handwritten sticker identifying subject, en verso. Housed under glass in a simple oval gilt brass frame with optically spiraled cobalt glass backing. Sight: 3" H x 2 1/2" W. Framed: 3 3/4" H x 2 3/4" W. 2nd item: (second from left) Portrait of a young lady depicted seated wearing a red riding jacket, tan vest and trousers, white lace cravat, and black top hat holding a riding crop. Signed "David" lower right. Housed under in a pierced gilt brass frame with foliate pediment. Sight (oval): 3 1/4" H x 2 1/2" W. Framed: 5 1/4" H x 4" W. 3rd item: (second from right) Portrait of a lady in 17th century style dark, patterned dress with white lace collar, white lace bonnet over her curly hair, and a gold necklace. Housed under glass in an oval ebonized wooden frame with bead course and acanthus leaf accents and gilt sight edge. Sight: 2 3/4" H x 3 1/4" W. Framed: 5 1/4" H x 4 3/4" W. 4th item: (Far left) Portrait of a young girl holding a puppy depicted wearing an elaborate floral-patterned dress, coral-colored shawl, jeweled headdress, and gold jewelry. Faintly signed A. BONE to right edge. Housed under glass in an oval gilt brass frame with ebonized sight edge. Sight: 3 1/4" H x 2 1/2" W. Framed: 3 1/2" H x 2 3/4" W. 5th item: (center) Portrait of a young girl depicted wearing a red and white dress with apron, cloth veil, and red jewels playing a damaged tambourine with a stepped alleyway in the background. Housed under glass in an oval giltwood frame with pink velvet liner. Sight: 5" H x 4" W. Framed: 7 1/4" H x 6 1/8" W. All items late 19th to early 20th century.

CONDITION: 1st item: Painting has shifted slightly in frame. Tape residue, en verso. 2nd item: Minute abraisions to paint layer primarily to background. 3rd item: Scattered areas of loss and abrasion to paint layer primarily to background above subject's shoulders; minor craquelure. Painting has shifted slightly in frame. Otherwise in overall good condition. 5th item: Possible repaired crack across lower center measuring 3 1/2" with corresponding inpainting; scattered inpainting to subject's face and neck. Frame with minor fraying to liner.
