Holberg (Wisconsin, 1889-1942) watercolor painting depicting a rural blacksmith shop with one figure exiting a partially enclosed workspace attached to the larger compound and one figure working at the furnace within, all beneath a bright, clouded sky. Signed "Richard A Holberg" lower left. Inscribed "Gloucester", en verso of backing. Housed and matted under glass in a wooden frame. Sight: 9 1/2" H x 13 1/2" W. Framed: 17 1/8" H x 21 1/8" W.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Carl Klein, Brentwood, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition. Minute inclusions beneath glass. Not examined outside of frame.
