Georgian mahogany tall case clock, oak secondary, with swan neck pediment, turned wooden finial, brass rosettes, hood having fluted columns with brass Corinthian capitals, case with full fluted columns, double arched door with acorn finials, stepped base, canted corners all on bracket feet. Enameled arched dial with Roman numerals, secondary dial, arch painted with scene of shepherdess with dog and sheep. Interior with two weights and pendulum. Brass movement having multiple chimes. Case with key. 8'5-1/2" H x 23-3/4" W x 12-3/4" D. English, early 19th century. Provenance: Estate of James J. Allen, Knoxville, TN. CONDITION: Dial surrounds and clock face do not align, indicating the dial and works are not original to the clock. Saddleboard possibly replaced. Finial possibly replaced. Some loss to paint decoration on clock face. Possible repair to left corner cornice of bonnet. One rear foot partially repaired. Back reinforced in two areas.
