Samuel Armour (Massachusetts, 1890-1964) large impressionistic oil on canvas landscape depicting trees in a field with brightly colored autumn foliage. Signed "S. E. Armour" lower right. Housed in an early 20th-century American giltwood frame with carved corner ornamentation. Sight: 40 1/8" W x 34 7/8"H. Framed: 46 1/4" W x 40 1/2" H.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Carl Klein, Brentwood, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with light grime. Frame with light gilt loss expected with wear.
