1st item: Wrought iron boot scraper designed with volute turned side rails and secured into a granite block. Scraper measures 11 1/2" H x 12 1/2" W. 19 1/2" H x 14 3/4" W x 11 1/2" D. History: Descended through the family of James Clark, the founder of Clarkland, by descent through his son Willam Clark and his wife Betsy (Elizabeth) Darnaby Clark and their daughter Ann Elizabeth Clark who married Thomas C. Wood and their three children Nannie Clark Wood, Betty Lee Wood, and William Hewitt Wood. William Hewitt Wood married Elizabeth Prewitt Hughes and had two children Elizabeth Clark Wood and William Clark Hewitt Wood. Elizabeth Clark Wood married Charles Hallam Mahoney and she inherited the estate of "Cherrycote" from her aunt Betty Lee Wood Gorham wife of John Breckenridge Gorham. 2nd item: 19th century Grist Mill granite millstone, found in the Anderson County, Tennessee area, 5" H x 13" W.

PROVENANCE: The Collection of Michael and Peggy Mahoney, by descent from the historic homes of Clarkland Farm at Bryan's Station and Cherrycote, Lexington, Kentucky.

CONDITION: All items with use wear, normal oxidation from outdoor exposure. Some stress cracks to stone base of boot scraper that have been reinforced.
