Group of two (2) carved and painted duck decoys including one (1) pintail drake attributed to Miles Hancock (1887-1974, Chincoteague, VA) with tack eyes and scratch feather paint and one (1) canvasback hen attributed to Julius Mittlesteadt (1888-1957, Buffalo, NY) with tack eye and combed feather paint. 8″ H x 17 3/4″ L & 7 1/2″ H x 16 1/2″ L.
PROVENANCE: Private Knoxville, Tennessee collection.
CONDITION: Pintail drake with old repaint, scattered wear and losses, gunning wear and losses to tail. Hen with scattered overall wear to paint, overall good condition.
