Lot 1004: 14 East Tennessee Coin Silver Spoons, J.B. Wells

Fourteen (14) coin silver spoons, including 13 teaspoons and 1 tablespoon with reverse fiddle ends and the maker’s mark “J.B. Wells” within a rectangle for James B. Wells (working in Maryville, Blount County, Tennessee, circa 1860). 8 7/8 in. L and 5 1/2 in. L. 7.46 troy ounces.

PROVENANCE: The collection of Marty and David Black, Rockford, TN.

CONDITION: All spoons with wear and pitting on the bowls. A few spoons with some bending to the handles. 1 teaspoon with script monogram.
