Leslie (working Mobile, Alabama, 1853 – 1873) and makers Wood & Hughes of New York, 3 fiddle tipt handle spoons marked for Duhme (Cincinnati, Ohio), 1 fiddle tipt handle spoon marked for L. Forbes (St. Louis, MO), 1 fiddle tipt handle spoon marked for E. Mead & Co. (St. Louis, MO), 1 downturned plain handle spoon marked Y S & Co, and 1 downturned plain handle spoon marked IPM. Ranging in size from 8 1/8 in. L to 9 1/8 in. L. 12.33 troy ounces.
PROVENANCE: Estate of Dr. Allen E. Johnson, Knoxville, TN.
CONDITION: All spoons with monograms and moderate wear. The E. Mead & Co. and IPM marked spoons with losses to bowls. Leslie spoons in good condition.
