Mahogany Queen Anne drop leaf table, possibly Irish, rectangular top and two drop leaves with plain straight edges. Set on a rectangular base with shaped skirt and slightly curved Queen Anne legs with volute carved knees and triangular slipper feet. 28" H x 40" W x 48" L (each leaf 16"). 18th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Middle Tennessee collection.
CONDITION: Center leaf with sun fading, light wear, staining, losses to one corner. At least three (3) of the volute returns have been replaced, a couple of old patches around hinges to the underside, wooden cross support with insect damage and reinforced on one side with a modern screw. Fold out legs slightly warped. Various separations where the legs intersect the apron.
