Lot 1001: Large Early Primitive Tool or Cutlery Caddy

Large, likely Southern early handmade wooden cutlery or tool carrier, square nail construction, dark reddish stained finish, single cut out central handle and two compartments. 21"w x 5 1/2"H x 15"D. 19th century.

PROVENANCE: Private Middle Tennessee Collection.

CONDITION: Wear and patination throughout, old 1" flake to wood at handle, full shrinkage crack to one side on bottom, scratched initials of past owner to one side.
