Four (4) Werner Wildner (American/Tennessee, 1935-2004) Halloween themed works on paper (cardstock), all signed with monogram "W", plus 1 Werner Wildner exhibit poster. 1st item: Watercolor painting of 3 witches in a field with skulls at their feet, 12" x 9 1/2", matted 17 1/4" x 15 3/4". 2nd item: Ink drawing of witch and owl on broomstick, 8" x 8 1/2". Matted 20" x 16". 3rd item: pencil drawing with gouache highlights of a skeleton gnome, seated at a table and eating. 8 1/4" x 6 1/2", matted – 14" x 11 1/4". 4th item: Watercolor painting of a witch running through a field with bare tree, pumpkins, hay and fence. Sheet 11 1/2" x 10". Matted- 20" x 16". 5th item: Lithographed poster for Werner Wildner exhibit at Cheekwood in Nashville, TN, 1975. 20" x 16".
PROVENANCE: Estate of Gertude S. Caldwell, Nashville.
CONDITION: Matted items are taped to mat but otherwise in very good condition with minimal toning. 2nd item has a 1" thin line of residue/staining to lower center, and light toning, and has come detached from its mat. 4th item has some paint splatters to lower quarter of sheet, likely as painted, and a few possible tiny spots of foxing to upper quarter. Poster – handling creases.
