Case Antiques, Inc. Auctions & Appraisals is proud to be co-sponsoring the annual Alcoa Kiwanis Club Antiques Appraisal Fair with The Daily Times newspaper. This year the appraisal fair will be held in conjunction with the East Tennessee Political Items Collectors Political Memorabilia Show and Sale.
The Appraisal Fair is set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 15 at the Maryville First Baptist Church Family Life Center, 202 West Lamar Alexander Parkway, Maryville, TN, 37801. The fair will feature John Case of Case Antiques, Auctions & Appraisals; Scott Bishop of Westwood Antique & Design Market; local rare and antique book expert John Coleman; and Civil War and regional expert Malcolm Rogers.
The cost for the appraisal of a first item, including political items, will be $15, and additional appraisals may be purchased for $10 each. There will be a special category for large collections of items for a “general opinion” as to the value of the collection, and the charge will be $25. There will be no cost of admission for anyone who just wishes to view the political memorabilia show, but appraisals of political items will require the payment of the appraisal fee. Tickets will be available at the door and may be purchased in advance from Alcoa Kiwanis members.
The Alcoa Kiwanis Club will also serve a chili lunch for $5 which will benefit the club’s Young Children Priority One program, primarily Head Start and Haven House.
All proceeds will be used to support the clubs’ charitable activities, including East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, Special Olympics and other youth activities in Blount County.
