John Case and Sarah Campbell Drury complete 2013 Appraiser USPAP course and exam

John Case, accredited member of the Appraisers Association of America (AAA), and Sarah Campbell Drury, accredited member of the International Society of Appraisers (ISA), recently completed the 2013 Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) course and passed the examination. USPAP  is published and maintained by the Appraisal Standards Board (ASB) of the Appraisal Foundation, a non-governmental entity charged by Congress with promulgating appraisal standards. These are the generally accepted standards for professional appraisal practice in the United States, especially appraisals for tax purposes (ex. estate and donation). Although both had taken and passed the course previously, a re-examination is required every three years so appraisers can stay current with USPAP updates and changes.

John Case currently serves as President and Sarah Campbell Drury as Vice President of Fine and Decorative Arts at Case Antiques, Inc.

Case Antiques, Inc. is one of the few auction house in the Southeast with two accredited appraisers belonging to one of the three recognized appraisal organizations (ISA, AAA, and ASA) who are current with USPAP standards required by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for estate and donation appraisals.
