Case Antiques, Inc. Auctions & Appraisals is proud to sponsor the annual East Tennessee PBS Antiques Appraisal Fair on Saturday, April 13. Have your treasures or yard sale finds appraised by the regions top appraisers while supporting your PBS member station. All proceeds go to East Tennessee PBS. Each appraised item will be $10. Membership to East Tennessee PBS starts at $30 and is not a requirement to participate in the Appraisal Fair.
The Appraisal Fair will be Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 9am to 3pm and will include the regions top appraisers reviewing items such as Fine Art, furniture, pottery, silver, folk art, musical instruments, toys, Civil War, autographs, Asian items, jewelry, books and more! Large, hard to move items can be appraised by printed photos or photos presented on iPads. Please take photos of front, back and bottom of items with closeups of signatures or markings.
The Appraisal Fair will be held at the historic Cherokee Mills Building, 2240 Sutherland Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37919 (link to directions below). Appraisers will include John Case, AAA Member and President of Case Antiques & Auctions, Sarah Drury, ISA Member and VP Decorative Arts with Case Antiques & Auctions, Harold Smiddy, of Sequoyah Antiques, Len de Rohan, Research and Cataloging, Case Antiques & Auctions, John Coleman, of Central Street Books in Knoxville, Civil War and regional antiques expert Malcolm Rogers and antique dealer and appraiser Scott Bishop. In addition to the local and regional appraisers, special guest appraiser, Lark Mason, a renowned Asian expert and regular on the Antiques Roadshow, will be appraising via live video feed from New York City.
PBS TV’s Antiques Roadshow will be visiting and filming in Knoxville for the first time on July 13, 2013. More information on tickets and volunteering for the event will be available at the April 13 Appraisal Fair.
