The Columbus Museum of Art in Columbus, Georgia will host a Decorative Arts Symposium titled American Renaissance to the Modern Age: A Woman’s Touch in the Visual Arts on April 6, 2013 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. The symposium explores the depth of women’s influences in the arts, from the impact of Newcomb Pottery to the sculpture of Betsy Potter Vannoh, the innovative designs of Ray Eames, and the jewelry and metalwork of Marie Zimmerman.
