World War II German M 42 Helmet with original camouflage paint, eight finger liner and suspension intact, and chinstrap. Name written in black script on liner, "Nermendeger" (sp). 6" H x 11 1/4" D x 7 1/2" W. Acquired by Bill Selden, 526th Armored Infantry Battalion. Selden was awarded the Bronze Star for his service in the Battle of the Bulge. This included intelligence gathering in the town of Malmady, Belgium for the counter offensive to the Battle of the Bulge. Provenance: Estate of Bill Selden, Athens, Tennessee.
