U.S. Colt 3rd Model 1851 revolver .36 caliber, iron back strap and trigger guard, octagon barrel, serial number 61994 corresponds to manufacture year of 1856. US marked frame, all visible serial numbers matching. Barrel stamped, "Address Col. Sam Colt New York City" and cylinder with naval scene, "Engaged 16 May 1843". 7 1/2" barrel length. Provenance: Gatlinburg, TN collection. Condition: Stock grips possibly later, frame and loading lever with an attempt at rebluing, more than five replaced screws. Wedge possible replacement.
