Early period portrait of President Andrew Jackson. Provenance – Freeman estate, Bristol, Tennessee. Very good condition. Old varnish, no visible inpainting or repairs. Discoloration area near neck served as a test cleaning area by a conservator and indicates how the canvas would appear cleaned. 21″ x 25 3/4″ canvas, 22 3/8″ x 27 3/8″ frame. Circa 1835.
