Jonas Lie (New York, 1880-1940) pencil and charcoal drawing. Signed lower right corner, "Jonas Lie, Bingham 1917". Drawing depicts a copper mine located in Bingham, Utah with view of railroad in foreground with camp in valley. Overall excellent condition. Sight 14 1/2" Height x 21 3/4" Width. Framed 21 1/2" Height x 28 1/2" Width. Note – The January 1920 Exhibition of the Society of American Painters, Sculptors, and Engravings at the Detroit Institute of Arts lists "Utah Copper Mine (Four Drawings)" exhibited by Jonas Lie. This specific drawing has the identical view depicted in an oil executed by Lie in 1937, titled "Bingham Mine" and is in the collection of the Phoenix Art Museum.
