Lot of Supreme Court and political related photographs. 1ST ITEM: Signed photo of Knoxville, TN Supreme Court justice, Edward T. Stanford. Black & white photograph, marked Harris & Ewing Washington D.C. Signed, "To Harley G. with high regards from his friend Edward T. Sanford February 19th 1923". Edward Terry Sanford (1865 ñ1930) served as an Associate Justice on the United States Supreme Court. Sanford was born in Knoxville, Tennessee and received a B.A. and a PhD from the University of Tennessee, a B.A. from Harvard University in 1885, an M.A. from Harvard University in 1889, and an LL.B. from Harvard Law School in 1889. He was in private practice in Knoxville, TN from 1890 to 1907, and was a lecturer at the University of Tennessee School of Law from 1898 to 1907. Sanford also served as an Assistant Attorney General in 1907 under President Theodore Roosevelt. Overall very good condition. 12-1/4" W x 16-1/4" H framed. 2ND ITEM: Signed black and white photo by the U.S. Attorney General George Woodward Wickersham (1858-1936), signed "For J. A. Fowler with pleasant recollections of my association in the Department of Justice + high regards from Geo. W. Wickersham Feb 1913 Attorney General". Overall very good condition with couple of tears to matt in upper corners and some matt burns to lower margin. 13-1/2" W x 16-1/2" H. 3RD ITEM: Framed black and white photograph of James Fowler, in lower right margin "Knaffl and Brakebill Knoxville, Tennessee." James A. Fowler was a U.S. Assistant Attorney General and mayor of Knoxville from 1928-1929. Overall excellent condition. 16-3/8" W x 20-3/4" H.
