Classical mahogany sideboard with splashboard divided into three panels and fronted by four turned Ionic columns, flat molded top over three curved front drawers with wooden pulls, bowfront center section with single cupboard door flanked by two single flat front cupboard doors and fully turned Ionic style columns at each end, front with c-scroll feet and rear with turned feet, paneled sides and back. Poplar secondary. Provenance – according to Susan West’s notes, possibly from the estate of Con Overton Ball Thompson and John Thompson, her mother’s first cousins. Condition – moderate veneer chipping with some veneer chips retained. Some stains to top, pulls original. 53" height x 68 ¼” width x 24" depth. Circa 1850. Glen Leven estate.
