Set of six Nashville, Tennessee silver forks, marked "Gates & Pohlman" (W.T. Gates and William H. Pohlman, working Nashville, Tennessee, 1865. Refer to Caldwell’s Tennessee Silversmiths, p. 90). Additional marks include a lion type hallmark and "Sterling". Monogrammed "Moore". These forks descended through the Moore family of Historic Mooreland in Williamson County, TN. Forks have rounded tipt fiddle handles. Very good condition, slight bending to tines of one fork. 7 1/2" length. Heir of Glen Leven estate.
