Unusual and rare canterbury three tier shelf stand, probably Tennessee. Consisting of a shaped gallery over three tiers supported by turned columns over two dovetailed drawers, resting on turned feet. Primary wood oak, secondary appears to be poplar. Provenance – according to Susan West’s notes, this piece came from Glen Leven. Condition – overall very good condition with some white paint spots, minor stains, wear and shrinkage to shelves, chip to left drawer front. 64" x 48" x 16". Mid 19th century, attributed to Tennessee. Glen Leven estate.
