Pair of French brass floral candelabras, originally for church altar (most likely Roman Catholic or Episcopal). This ornate metalwork shows sheaves of wheat, bunches of grapes, and lilies. The sheaves of wheat and bunches of grapes symbolize the blessed bread and wine of the sacrament of the Eucharist. The lily is a symbol of purity. The candelabra bases contain angel figures and the supports are dolphin feet designs. Overall very good condition with minor losses interior of lilies. 40 1/2" height. Attributed to France, 19th Century.
