Oil on board portrait of young woman, signed L Branson (Lloyd Branson, Tennessee, 1861-1925), lower right corner. Branson is known as the first East Tennessee artist to receive formal art training in Europe (National Academy of Design in Paris) and studied at the National Academy of Design in New York. Provenance – acquired from a historic home in Loudon Co., TN (now referred to as Magnolia Manor). Sight – 12" Height x 9" Width. Late 19th/Early 20th century.
