Depicts a surrealist interpretation of Act III, Scene 2 of "Hamlet" during which the prince attempts to trick King Claudius into revealing his guilt in the murder of Hamlet's father. Numbered in pencil, lower left under plate, signed in pencil, lower right under plate. Typed biographical information with Merrill Chase, Chicago gallery label, en verso.
